The code exists for one reason: it keeps the demo usable for buyers instead of for bots. It arrives by e-mail, is valid for 30 days, and costs nothing.
How the data is built
Source: the public registers of the Servicio de Rentas Internas (Ecuador) and the Ministerio de Hacienda (Costa Rica), queried live at request time. No scraping of social media, no purchased third-party lists, no personal data beyond what the authority itself publishes about a taxpayer.
Null semantics: when the authority has not published a value, the field is null — never false, never an empty string. A gap in the source is therefore never presented as a clean result. hasRiskFlag is false only when the authority actively cleared the taxpayer, and null when it published no flag at all.
Provenance: every record carries source, sourceUrl and scrapedAt, so a result can be reproduced against the register.

Once per identifier the register actually returned. Not-found and malformed identifiers are free.
